I was wondering if anyone has gone through a set of the Metzler cruise tracks and what were your thoughts on them and how many miles you got out of them

I don't know, but metzelers are not generally talked about as great tires these days but the #1 rear tire at least is IMO and the opinions of many here the Avon Spirit ST. IMO it's way above most all others. I won't use anything else unless things change. I don't care for them on the front tho because the Avon cobra chrome wiorks better for me and outlasted the spirit front by about 4-5,000 miles. They work very well together. I do push the bike in twisties too, so my opinion comes from that POV and not just leisurely cruising. As for life span, i find the front varies with the cobra lasting as well as anything and better then many. But on the rear for whatever reason i get the same from most every tire, around 6000 miles. It varies VERY little for me. And i have used at least 8 different rears including older models of the metzeler that came stock on my 2010.

I have them on my Indian, the rear has done 16000kms and has plenty left, but the Indian is kinder on tyres than the bird. I think the rear for the Indian is a bias/radial, not sure what a 200/55/17 would be. I have a mate with Cruisetecs back and front on his Bird but as yet not many kms.
